Throughout the year we deliver a variety of workshops for individuals who want to dive deeper into their yoga practice, hone their pilates techniques or improve their wellbeing. We also offer educational courses for healthcare professionals wishing to develop skills in yoga practice and functional anatomy. Yoga Fundraiser for Women's Cancer Research - Saturday 30th November, 10am - 12pm

We’re hosting a Yoga for Cancer Fundraiser event to help all Victorian women affected by cancer.

Every year, 15,700 Victorian women are diagnosed cancer, and 6,000 of those will be breast or gynaecological cancers.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, the good news is that the rate of women dying from cancer is declining. Throughout the last decade, the rate has been consistently decreasing by 1.5% per year. This is thanks to earlier detection of cancers through screening, reductions in tobacco use, and improvements in treatment.

At leaf+bird wellbeing and Thompsons Road Physiotherapy we are passionate about saving even more lives, so we’re helping Cancer Council Victoria by hosting a Yoga Fundraising Morning. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend time with loved ones doing something healthy, all while raising vital funds.

When: Saturday 30th November, 2019. 10am – 12pm
(Schedule: gentle Hatha yoga 10-11am, morning tea 11-11.45am, guided meditation 11.45am – 12pm)

Where: leaf+bird wellbeing, 11 Gertrude St, Lower Templestowe.

Who: anyone who wants to support us is welcome (not just ladies!). The yoga class will be gentle and suitable to beginners/novices.

Registrations: you MUST register to attend the yoga session from 10am – 11am as places are limited. Registration is FREE and online via the button below.

Past Workshops

Yin Essence - Sunday 23rd June 5-6.30pm

Enjoy a blissful winter evening of Yin Essence with our yoga teacher Lisa Ray.

In this session you will be guided through gentle restorative yin yoga with the use of essential oils to deepen your sensory experience. Followed by a guided meditation to access your own deep sense of peace, healing and relaxation and an immersive sound experience of the crystal singing bowls, chimes and resonance.

Winter is a time of going inwards, reflection and slowing down. Allow yourself to be held in this nurturing space to unwind, restore and replenish.

aromaZen workshop - Next dates announced soon

Presented by our yoga teacher, Lisa Ray.

aromaZen is a practice that is suitable for people at all stages of meditation. It is a beautiful guided journey, to sit with inner peace and deep rest, to allow you to build inner strength and a deeper insight into your true self.

Participants are guided through a three part self healing journey, in a beautiful environment that supports you in feeling relaxed and inspired.

The session progresses through an internal visual contemplation of the 7 chakras, using the inhalation and application of 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils and deep breath. A Yoga Nidra full body relaxation follows, and then we close our meditation journey in a soothing sound bath of harmonic chimes, drums, and high vibrational crystal singing bowls, to uplift the spirit and soothe the soul.
