Throughout the year we deliver a variety of workshops for individuals who want to dive deeper into their yoga practice or improve their wellbeing. Currently all workshops are suspended due to COVID regulations in Melbourne/Victoria.
In late 2021 / 22 we hope to offer educational workshops for healthcare professionals and yoga teachers wishing to develop skills in yoga practice and functional anatomy. If you’d like to collaborate with us or want to know more, please email us with your queries: [email protected]
Enjoy the blissful and relaxing Yin Essence with our yoga teacher Lisa Ray. The next scheduled session is Sunday 28th June 2020 at 10.30am.
In these sessions you will be guided through gentle restorative yin yoga with the use of essential oils to deepen your sensory experience. This is then followed by a guided meditation to access your own deep sense of peace, healing and relaxation, enhanced by the immersive sound experience of crystal singing bowls, chimes and resonance.
Allow yourself to be held in this nurturing space to unwind, restore and replenish. Come by yourself or bring a friend or a loved one to experience this blissful restorative class with Lisa. You will depart floating on a cloud or relaxation.
When: Sunday 28th June, 10.30am-12pm
Where: leaf+bird wellbeing, 11 Gertrude Street, Lower Templestowe
We raised just over $1,300 from this fundraiser event in November 2019. THANK YOU ALL WHO PARTICIPATED.
We hosted a Yoga for Cancer Fundraiser event to help all Victorian women affected by cancer.
Every year, 15,700 Victorian women are diagnosed cancer, and 6,000 of those will be breast or gynaecological cancers.
Thanks in part to generous Victorians, the good news is that the rate of women dying from cancer is declining. Throughout the last decade, the rate has been consistently decreasing by 1.5% per year. This is thanks to earlier detection of cancers through screening, reductions in tobacco use, and improvements in treatment.
At leaf+bird wellbeing and Thompsons Road Physiotherapy we are passionate about saving even more lives, so we helped Cancer Council Victoria by hosting a Yoga Fundraising Morning. It was a full-house attendance, and was a success thanks to the generous yogis who came along and donated to the cause.
Presented by our yoga teacher, Lisa Ray.
aromaZen is a practice that is suitable for people at all stages of meditation. It is a beautiful guided journey, to sit with inner peace and deep rest, to allow you to build inner strength and a deeper insight into your true self.
Participants are guided through a three part self healing journey, in a beautiful environment that supports you in feeling relaxed and inspired.
The session progresses through an internal visual contemplation of the 7 chakras, using the inhalation and application of 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils and deep breath. A Yoga Nidra full body relaxation follows, and then we close our meditation journey in a soothing sound bath of harmonic chimes, drums, and high vibrational crystal singing bowls, to uplift the spirit and soothe the soul.
This workshop runs most months. Email us to enquire about the next scheduled session.
